Old Bates Campground has trees for shade and large 30 or 50 amp full hook up sites, a pool, shower house, laundry, LP fill station, a pavilion and picnic areas, RV/ boat storage and an onsite restaurant. This campground is just south of Sesser and west of Rend Lake so campers have the convenience of being near both a small town and lake activities.
Old Bates Campground is only 5 miles southwest of Rend Lake.
The Squirrels Nest Campground has only long term yearly site rentals. It is located just off the Rend City Road, south west side of Rend Lake and 4 miles west of Sesser. They have canopy's and camper's for sale. Sesser is home to the famous Custard Stand, the Sesser Foodland Grocery Store, and a wide variety of restaurants.
Coy & Wilma's Campground near Rend Lake has been around for over 30 years. It has beautiful mature trees that shade large well kept campsites. Recently, a cabin has been added with plans to build more. Coy and Wilma's has plenty of picnic areas for both small and larger outdoor get-togethers. This campground has an onsite office and convenience store. Coy & Wilma's Campground is located between Sesser and Rend Lake so campers have the convenience of being near both a small town and Rend Lake activities.
Coy & Wilma's Camp Ground is located on the Rend City Road, just south west of Rend Lake and 4 miles west of Sesser.
Whittington Woods Campground has a beautiful small garden at its entrance to welcome visitors. It offers a pool, a large picnic shelter and plenty of smaller picnic areas for outdoor fun and get togethers. This campground has an office / store which sells convenience items and propane bottle fill-ups. Whittington Woods is only 2 miles south of Rend Lake on IL-37. Its location between Benton and Rend Lake gives campers the advantage of being near both the restaurants and shopping of a small town and the beautiful outdoors Rend Lake provides.
